Located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris in the northwest. Its boundaries are Boulevard de Suffren to the north, Rue de la Croix-Nivert and Boulevard Lowendal to the east, Rue du Rouelle and Rue de Fondary to the south, and the bays of Grenelle and Branly along the Seine to the west. It is crossed along its length by the Boulevard de Grenelle, which overlooks the Bir Hakeim bridge. Avenue de La Motte Picquet (1,200 m) runs from Les Invalides (Boulevard de La Tour Maubourg) to Boulevard de Grenelle; it borders both the Ecole Militaire and the Champ de Mars;
The district is crossed by the Nation Etoile line and the RER C also crosses the Seine by the Rouelle bridge, towards the Avenue du Président Kennedy Maison de RadioFrance station.
This district includes the Emile-Antoine garden and sports facilities to the north near Champs de Mars, and the western part of the district also includes the large Pullman Tour Eiffel and Mercure hotels and the elegant buildings of the Australian Embassy, as well as the Maison de la Culture du Japon.
