The mecca of the Parisian jet-set, located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, it is one of the most emblematic area of Paros the Golden Triangle, which is bounded by the avenues Montaigne, Champs-Élysées and George-V, and is home to wealthy families, businesses and countless luxury boutiques is very popular with tourists. In addition to these countless luxury shops, there are magnificent hotels such as the Plaza Athénée (avenue Montaigne) and the Fouquet's Barrière Hotel (avenue George-V), the Royal Monceau and the Shangri-la, and the Crazy Horse on avenue George-V. LVMH's head office is located in the Golden Triangle, at 22, avenue Montaigne.
The history of this arrondissement, which has become the symbol of the capital, is not very old: it dates back to the post-French Revolution, after the emergence of the bourgeois classes in Paris. From the end of the 18th to the beginning of the 19th century, the Parisian bourgeoisie progressively displaced the old aristocracy in high society and saw power (and wealth!) grow at a frantic pace. In this industrial century, wealthy families left the historic districts of Paris (around the Place des Vosges in the foreground) to settle in very sparsely urbanised, almost uninhabited places : the West of Paris.
