Furnished apartment rental in Convention neighborhood

Although it does not have many major cultural sites, this historic district of Paris has the advantage of reflecting the daily life of its inhabitants. Quiet and young, it is a very pleasant neighbourhood. Centred around the station that bears its name, the Convention is certainly not a must for tourists passing through the capital. However, this part of the 15th arrondissement represents a sometimes forgotten aspect of Parisian life: everyday life.

Discover the George Brassens Park, the largest green space (8.7 hectares) in the department, named in homage to the singer Georges Brassens, who lived a few steps away in the magnificent Villa Santos-Dumont. This park promises a lyrical stroll. You can be guided along the paths named after his songs.

Opened in 1975, it has many magnificent views and many attractions for children (horse riding at weekends, playground, Ferris wheel, etc.). Following one of the small interior paths, we even discovered a pine tree and a vineyard on the hill, harvested every year. "Until the end of the 18th century, the landscape of the village of Vaugirard was very green and the cultivation of the large vineyards of Périchot occupied most of the inhabitants of the surrounding area," reads the Paris City Council website. Jump on the gentle rays of the sun to warm up on the park's lawns and breathe in the scent of the pines. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can also bargain at the second-hand book market, which takes place every week under the halls that border the park on rue de Brancion.
